Sometimes we have to say goodbye to the dogs in our care before they find a home or can return to living in freedom.
Others spend many years with us at the shelter, growing old or becoming seriously ill.

We do everything we can to ensure they have a good life, but we cannot save every single one of them.
What remains is the certainty that they had a safe place with us, where they were accepted just as they were.
They were loved, had trusted people by their side, and were able to experience care and security.
Each of them leaves a gap and remains a part of our story.

We will never forget them.
